學術期刊與學術生產、學術表現的關聯 初探:以台灣傳播學門學術期刊為例

摘要 本文反覆致意的核心議題是:學術期刊與學術生產和學術表現間的關聯性。作者訪談了台灣傳播學門內六本學術期刊的七位主編,從他們的視角來探討上述的問題。

研究結果發現,七位主編均肯定學術期刊與學術生產和學術表現間有一定的正向關係,但是因為一些結構性的因素,例如TSSCI制度造成期刊間的貧富差距、評鑑制度所採用的計點制度,使得學界獨厚期刊論文,致令其他形式的學術生產遭到擠壓。針對台灣學術性期刊所面臨的問題及解決之道,受訪的七位主編分別提出論文議題缺乏社會進步性與關聯性,期刊數量過少,期刊論文及審查人品質有待提升,人力及資源不足等問題。

學術書寫與生產是學術生活的核心實踐場域。本研究發現學術環境的結構,確實影響了學術人的實踐可能性。本文從國家與學術知識生產、「學術評鑑指標」對於研究主題、使用理論的影響,並援引Giddens「生命政治」概念來討論學術生產與學術表現的意義。
Abstract This paper focuses specifically on the correlation between academic journals and academic production and performance. Interviews with seven chief-editors of six academic journals were conducted to shed light on the aforementioned issue.

The results showed that there is a positive relationship between academic journals and academic production and academic performance. However, because of some structural factors, such as the Taiwan Social Sciences Citation Index (TSSCI) system, which gives rise to a gap between rich and poor among the journals, and the total points system assessment of academic journal articles, other forms of academic productions (such as book, book chapters, and conference papers) have been squeezed.

Academic writing is a core practice in almost every academic career. This study has found that the structure of the academic environment affects the possibility of academic practice.
